KBH Perayaan Dong Zhi 3.0

Updated: Jul 1, 2023

10th December 2019

KBH Perayaan Dong Zhi 3.0 was organised by KBH's Kelab Mandarin. It was held at DTAMS. Dong Zhi is Winter Solstice Festival. Chinese people celebrate this day to welcome the winter season. Tangyuan, which is a Chinese dessert made from glutinous rice balls in a sugary soup, is eaten as it symbolises family unity and harmony.

I was the Executive Committee for Exhibition. The exhibition team consisted of 7 members and 2 leaders which are the 2nd year seniors. I was in charged of the Information Board. This program has helped me to enhance my creativity in thinking out of the box so that I could come up with a design or information board that was attractive to visitors.

Major thanks to the seniors for guiding us, the first years throughout the whole preparation of Dong Zhi since the beginning. They had pushed us to complete tasks in time so that we wouldn't fall back and to prevent us from burning the midnight oil just to complete the preparations. Without them, we wouldn't have been able to pull off such a successful event. Despite being tired of having to prep for this day, it was enjoyable and I had a fun time. I had also gain experience on how to organise such a big event.
